About the Artist
Samantha Saw was lucky to grow up in a red brick house in Australia that was constantly humming with tools and tinkering. With industrious parents and grandparents, she learnt from a young age that your hands can shape your world. Whether by nature or nurture, Sam’s love of making and creating has continued throughout her life, manifesting in painting, printmaking, weaving, stitching, stone carving, ceramics, restoring furniture, and more. In her career, she guided the development of arts and culture for a local government area in Sydney and initiated annual art prizes and festivals to celebrate arts and cultural engagement. After years travelling the world, Sam is finally leaning into the gift of slower living and is currently exploring meditative mark making.
