About the Artist
“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration” - Nikolai Tesla
For me, art is about colour and healing. My intention in creating art is to bring higher vibrations such as Love, Peace, Harmony, Compassion, Serenity, Kindness etc to uplift a space and the people in that space. I imagine my art to be an active portal that delivers these vibrations in line with the principles of good Feng Shui. I don’t want to “poke and provoke” but I hope to “soothe, calm and heal”.
To create the intended energy, dimension, texture, colour and vibration in my art, I start with myself. I do not paint when I’m stressed or upset. I take a salt bath, burn incense, meditate with my crystals and many other things that lift the negativity.
I smudge my canvases, my paint, I add some special “ingredients” such as essential oils, Aura-Soma pomanders, flower essences etc. I write the intention such as LOVE, HARMONY etc on the canvas. I do this before I put the 2-3 coats of gesso primer, which is like in the “essence” of whatever comes after.
As symbols have their own vibrations I use sacred geometry, reiki symbols in many of my work, I add crystals and pieces of nature on the canvas that symbolise its healing powers, abundance and beauty.
I work slowly, almost in a meditative state, to enjoy and interact with the paint and mediums to create texture and mood.
When I’m satisfied that I have done everything that I can, I seal my work with several coats of varnish. I do not use substitute materials anywhere in my work, but use quality paint and mediums such as pouring medium, gel mediums etc from reputable, professional art brands.
I am a certified colour therapist and Chakra and Aura healer. I've studied many other healing modalities as well. I am currently studying to become a Colour Consultant for Aura-Soma(UK). I've been living in Singapore for over 27 years. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating them. Peace.
